The camera's adjustable dioptric range is -2.5 to +0.5 dpt. Remove the eyecup. While grasping sides toward the bottom of the eyecup, slide it upward to remove. Turn the dioptric adjustment knob. The diopter wheel does not in any way change the focusing mechanism of the camera for actually taking pictures. What it does do: It changes the focal distance between your eye and the plane of the projection of the image within the EVF (or optical through the lens viewfinder if a camera has one).
In other words, if you require a diopter of plus 3, simply add a plus 3 diopter to your camera. Neutral correction eyepieces do not replace the supplied standard eyepiece. The use of a neutral correction eyepiece will change the diopter value of the camera from minus one to zero.
